After sold out performances at Carnegie Hall and The Salt Shed Chicago, the exceptional concert “We Are Here: Songs from the Holocaust” is coming to Vanderbilt University’s Ingram Hall on January 27, 2025, International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
This one-night-only concert features songs written in the ghettos and concentration camps of Nazi-occupied Europe. From folk ballads to up-tempo satire, these songs present a powerful tribute to artists who, in the worst of times, continued to create.
The concert will include performances from some of Nashville’s top artists and students from the Vanderbilt University Blair School of Music, each preceded by remarks from community leaders – representing government, faith communities, and media. Drawings by Hungarian Holocaust survivor, Gyorgy Kadar, will be on display in the Ingram Hall lobby before to the concert.
Tickets are available for purchase through the Blair Box Office, online and in-person. Vanderbilt students purchasing tickets get one free with their student ID.
