Blair School of Music presents a guest artist performance by acclaimed tubist Thomas Leleu, Thursday, February 13, 8:00 p.m., Turner Recital Hall.

Called “the world star of the tuba” (Quotidien) and voted Instrumental Soloist of the Year at the age of 24 at the Victoires de la Musique Awards, Thomas Leleu is a celebrated musician and recording artist who has performed as a soloist in more than 40 countries.
After graduating from the CNSM de Paris – and winning international competitions in Germany, South Korea and Luxembourg — Leleu was appointed to the Philharmonique de l'Opéra de Marseille at the age of 19. In 2018, he was invited to Berlin and featured in the ZDF/Arte television program Stars von Morgen (Stars of Tomorrow).
As a recording artist, Leleu has released five albums, and in 2024 founded his own label, Tuba French Touch. His latest album, Outsider, was released on March 1 to international critical acclaim.
