Blair School of Music presents a Master Series faculty concert with the Blair String Quartet, Monday, November 4, 8:00 p.m., in Turner Hall. This is a Pay What You Wish event with tickets required for admission. Featuring Stephen Miahky, violin; Cornelia Heard, violin; Eric Wong, viola; and Felix Wang, cello; the Quartet has been praised for combining “technical expertise and emotional fire,” with The, the Quartet has been praised for combining “technical expertise and emotional fire,” with The Washington Post calling them simply “a marvelous ensemble.”
Widely acclaimed in performances across the country, the ensemble has enhanced its national reputation through appearances at the Library of Congress, the Kennedy Center, New York’s 92nd Street Y and Merkin Concert Hall. The group’s notable residencies have included the Aspen Music Festival, Sedona Chamber Music Festival, and Dartmouth College, as well as appearances at the Colorado Music Festival, the Meadowmount School of Music, the Sewanee Music Festival, Music Mountain in Connecticut and the Maverick Concert Series in Woodstock, New York.
